We are true profit experts and help our clients to sustainably boost their profits. Our projects typically achieve a profitability improvement of 100 to 500 basis points. With our TopLine Power® approach, we focus on improving the top line instead of cutting costs. Our projects cover all areas of TopLine Power®. Typical areas/topics are:
- Strategy (growth and competition strategies, new business models, product and market entry strategies, etc.)
- Marketing (marketing strategies and efficiency programs, meaningful segmentation, organization and operations, loyalty marketing, etc.)
- Pricing (avoiding price wars, innovation pricing, effective price execution, discount systems, global pricing, etc.)
Sales (sales force effectiveness, channel management, sales organization/strategy, key account management, etc.)

From the first day on you will get a lot of responsibility and freedom. We will do our best to help you in finding the right balance between carrying out challenging projects and develop a solid base of tools and expertise. Learning is not limited to "learning on the job". Simon-Kucher Academy is a comprehensive training program designed to help us to do our jobs better and teaches consultants both important soft skills (presentation, facilitation, leadership, project management, media, etc.) and the more hard skills and tools ( such as price management, sales excellence, value selling, finance, analytics, etc.). We also have a rapidly growing tutorial program to share the numerous methods and tools developed and used by everyone at Simon-Kucher when and where they need it.
As you get more experienced you will notice that the focus of your work is changing: in the beginning, the emphasis is more on research and analysis, later it will be more on management tasks such as managing a team or maintaining customer relationships. Over time you will also be increasingly involved in business development and internal affairs and perhaps eventually become a partner.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a mature personality with superior analytical skills and a passion for commercial issues. You also have strong communication skills, you are entrepreneurial and you enjoy working in a team.
In order to fit our profile you must have completed secondary school as well as a Master with above average academic results and you have to be able to speak and write the Dutch language fluently (B2 level).

In the first round you will speak to 2 consultants and/or a Director or Partner of our office in Amsterdam, which approximately will take about an hour per conversation. An online assessment will also be part of the selection procedure.
In the second round you will speak to 2 consultants and/or a Director or Partner of our office in Amsterdam, which again will approximately take about an hour per conversation. Followed by a case.
