Philips is spending 30 Mio euro annually on Professional Services (PS) in the healthcare environment globally. The PS commodity consists of a group of sub commodities like: consultancy, mobile diagnostics, quality & calibration and clinical education, which are all crucial in our Service and Solutions offerings towards our end customers. The commodity strategy needs to be developed.

Your challenge is to collect and analyze all available data from countries around the world in order to create overview, transparency and increased insight in spend and supply base: who is buying what from which supplier. Based on that you will work hand in hand with the commodity manager to develop specific commodity strategies containing elements like:
- Benchmarks
- Negotiation and contracting guidelines
- Preferred supply base

You will be reporting to the Global Commodity Manager PS in the Service and Solutions procurement team. This team consists of 15 commodities of products and services that Philips buys and resells as part of its solutions business. This is the place where procurement and sales meet.

We are looking for
- A Master or bachelor student 
-Commercial attitude, high energy, self-starter, quick learner
-Genuine interest in procurement environment
-Not afraid of dealing with a lot of data, Microsoft Excel enthusiast
-Business English required, other languages appreciated
-Interpersonal skills to reach out and connect to people around the world in order to collect and analyze supplier information
- EU citizen or studying in the Netherlands

Please notice that you will receive an allowance depending on the nature of the internship (at least €300 per month) and that you are registered  as a student during the whole period of the internship.




Required Languages



The first selection will be managed by Randstad, after that you will be interviewed by the hiring manager of Philips. Randstad is only involved with selecting candidates. You will be escorted by Philips and get a Philips contract.
