Why would you want to work for NIBC’s Finance department?
NIBC aims to make a difference at decisive moments. The Finance department plays an instrumental part achieving that. The Finance department ensures NIBC is compliant with applicable laws and regulations regarding financial and regulatory reporting. It enables management to effectively steer the organization with timely, reliable and relevant information. The department constantly works on refining the design, implementation and maintenance of the operating model that fits NIBC’s business strategy of constant development of new commercial efforts. Strategically the Finance department aims to be the central information provider for the bank, including the provision of forward looking information. There no better place within the bank to get on overview of how the bank operates and performs!
What will you do?
Within the Finance department there are several teams. Two of those teams are responsible for reporting to supervisory authorities and management. You will support both teams in meeting our internal and external reporting responsibilities working directly with our senior team members. This will allow you to learn effectively and build knowledge both on how NIBC operates and what it means to be a listed company in terms of (financial) reporting. The Finance department is progressing in automating reports and your role would also include an active part in the effort to further refine the reporting process. Detailed IT knowledge is not required, however a healthy interest in how IT applications work is a pre-requisite.
What will you get?
NIBC is a relatively small bank with a very dynamic and informal culture. Being a small bank there are many opportunities to develop into a Finance professional with wide experience, rather than becoming a true specialist on a specific topic. This would allow you to also develop further into roles within NIBC, but outside of Finance. We aim for our people to develop themselves into a broad professional, from both a hard skills perspective and a soft skills perspective. As an analyst with the Finance department you can have a direct influence on the achievement of the strategic goals of the department.
Apart from excellent (financial) employment conditions we offer graduates the opportunity to participate in NIBC's Talent Program. This one-year program is developed for a small group of selected talents from various disciplines. Working and learning-on-the-job is alternated with targeted training and development activities – both developed in cooperation with top ranked business partners.
Furthermore we nurture our entrepreneurial and inventive culture by providing modern flexible devices and working spaces.
