As an intern, you will support and report to the European senior manager Employee of Communications for the Materials Group Europe at our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest. You will rally and empower people by working with New Media, PR, Marketing and the Communications teams to ensure that project requests are dealt with in the best possible manner.
The primary focus of this role is to enhance employee engagement and help drive business results through effective, creative and consistent communications. You will need to be creative and able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
We are looking for candidates who are currently studying a Bachelor or Master in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration or other related fields.
The internship is available around the 1st of May 2018 with a minimum of 4 days a week. The ideal candidate is available for at least 6 months.
We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated and creative thinkers and who have:
Strong language and writing skills - Fluent in English (writing, proofreading and speaking) with strong project management abilities. Other languages are a plus.
Dependable - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and meet established deadlines, without it coming at a cost of quality.
Resilient - Able to work well under pressure and adapt easily and quickly to changes.
Service-oriented – Comfortable interacting and maintaining relationships with key players to deliver the results needed.
Approach - no 9 to 5 mentality, work in a highly international environment.
- IT - Excellent knowledge of Ms Office 2007 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with Google Drive is a plus.
You will support in multiple and varied internal and corporate projects at the same time:
Ensure regional communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s global strategic vision.
Support in creation, development and delivery of internal communications that help drive employee engagement in company initiatives.
Support in creation, development and delivery of internal communications output for the country or region -- on-time and with the highest quality.
Provide research and copywriting support for internal and corporate external publications (written and electronic news, blogs, social media, etc.) and post in the different systems such as intranet, screen system, etc. This also includes proofreading and coordinating translations of publications.
Coordinate and support special projects including the development of communications campaigns, executive meetings and special events such as Road Shows and Town Halls. This also includes preparing presentations, banners, video blogs, etc.
Partner with different functions such as Sites, HR and Marketing Communications to publish timely company information.
Provide support in incoming requests related to corporate visual identity, or any other internal and corporate communication issues coming from our European offices.
Coordinate and support in community relations communications.
Support in crisis communications.
Measure and present results of communication efforts (Google Analytics, Google Forms, etc.)
